AddAddRa by Ann Demeulemeester - Serax
ANN DE MEULEMEESTER - SERAX
The fine plates of Ra rest on a pedestal and literally elevate the food that is served on them. Cups & bowls were given a straight base and follow the same sculptural expression. A tall cake stand completes the collection. The tableware comes in 3 versions: - Off-white silk matte glaze –in a timeless and warm ivory colour - A black matte glaze on the outside with a glossy off-white glaze on the inside - A matte green glaze that offers a green eating environment
Baskets handmade from Sisal by expert weavers from Zimbabwe. They work at their communities and they need many days to make just one. Each basket is unique.
This white five-piece stoneware tableware with striking green accents is made in Portugal. Unlike many other Pomax tableware sets, no reactive glaze was used here, but different glazes, which are applied manually. In addition to the brightly speckled plates, this tableware also contains a number of bowls on which large spheres were painted, for an extra playful effect. Do you want it all a bit less busy? Then combine it with the emerald green Treille.

CERAMIC LAB items have a humble yet dignified presence. Rough texture of the clay peeks out at the bottom under the calm color glazing, and the bottom edges give a sharp impression reminiscent of quarried stone. The handle of the teapot can be gripped comfortably, and the spout is designed so that it is drip-free. The large strainer is easy to clean and allows tea leaves to open widely inside and release their flavor.
