Raised in Asia and having spent most of her childhood abroad, Stéphanie Coutas’ experience of diverse cultures influenced her style and career which later translated into a passion for beautiful homes and interiors. She began her professional life in fashion before opening her interior design agency, SC Editions, where she works with a team of architects, decorators and designers on private homes, hotels and yachts in France and abroad. Stéphanie Coutas’ formidable collection of skills – the capability to design from concept to completion and professional rigor coupled with an eye for detail - results in the realisation of inspiring and individualised creations. As well as SC Edition, Stéphanie Coutas has developed a luxurious “ready-to-live” concept which involves the complete renovation and decoration of apartments, offering the comfort and elegance of a five-star hotel. In each of the works, the clean lines coexist with more spectacular decorative biases, the raw tones interact with precious woods and other high-quality materials: devoured velvet, marbles, galuchat, Murano glassware. Driven by an insatiable curiosity, Stéphanie Coutas plays with textures and motifs, drawing inspiration from all the eras and currents of the decorative arts. From a simple sample of material, she likes to create custom furniture and accessories whether they are for residential projects or for collaborations with major publishers and luxury houses like Baccarat for lighting, THG for bathroom fittings or Tai Ping for carpets. Stéphanie Coutas is currently working on a penthouse in Monaco, two hotels in Paris, a house in Saint-Barthélemy and various other residential projects.
