Lucile Viaud

A graduate of the Ecole Boulle, an artist and researcher who works within the Glass & Ceramics Lab at the Chemical Sciences Institute in Rennes, and a winner of the Emerging Design prize as part of the Grand Prix of the City of Paris in 2018, Lucile Viaud explores the intimate connections between landscapes and materials, and creates her "geo-glassworks", committed to transforming local by-products into natural glassware. From objects to works of art, starting from a palette of glass that has grown over the years and is handled in an artisanal manner, she offers collections for the home through her "Ostraco" brand, as well as exceptional, bespoke pieces for professionals - in particular for activist chefs - and occasionally creates pieces in collaboration with other artists.
