Guy Martin began his career within the Relais & Châteaux network, at the Château de Coudrée, then at the Château de Divonne, where he became Manager and Head Chef when he was 26. Here, he received his first Michelin star six months after his arrival, and his second came in 1990. He was lauded in every guidebook as one of the youngest luminaries in French cuisine. In 2011,Guy Martin acquired Le Grand Véfour, and thus began a new adventure as a restaurant owner. Guy Martin offers inventive, joyful recipes, for which he has received the most prestigious national and international honors (elected Chef of the 21st Century in Japan, and classified as one of the seven best chefs in the world). In 2019, he launched a new hotel venture, with the creation of a design-focused hotel, the result of a three-year-long renovation project that transformed two historical 18th-century palaces in Nardo in the Puglia region of Italy into an unconventional hospitality structure, the Palazzi Maritati & Muci.
