Our furniture is carefully restored, but the patinas and all the exposed parts are period. This is one of our selection criteria, without concession! Probably you know the loofah as a sponge for a good body scrub? We felt this plant is just too good for bathroom use only so we invented a whole new way of using this amazing plant inside your home.The incredibly detailed surface feels almost similar to corals and other precious materials from the sea. Once the loofah plant grows we carefully chose the best and biggest ones. After a good rinse and drying session in the sun, the women of a support group for refugees in Egypt cut and hand stitch all the pieces together. Now they are ready for a new fabulous life as poetic lampshades.
