EMILE
Who has no holiday nostalgia? Émile was born from the idea of extending this nostalgia and well-being of the holiday. The transformation did not take place without some corrections. This indoor lounge chair is also equipped with a clever and very simple rocking system that gives it an unexpected and unforgettable comfort... The materials have taken a resolutely luxury attitude. A full-grain leather lined with genuine wool felt for the seat and hand-waxed solid oak. Foldable, it will nevertheless consider itself as a decorative object, a real object of desire
Jean-Paul Bath
An engineer by training, a graduate of the Ecole spéciale des travaux publics (Public Works Institute), and a holder of an MBA from Insead, Jean-Paul Bath has, as Managing Director of VIA since 2015, transformed it into "Le French Design", an essential agency to reshape the furniture industry and promote a nomadic, digital, and sustainable lifestyle internationally. A skier, salsa pianist, and a fan of cinema, contemporary photography, Proust, and Houellebecq, Jean-Paul Bath has built North Sea oil-drilling platforms, a turbine in Venezuela, shape-memory materials in Silicon Valley, and organized the 20th anniversary of the Centre Pompidou and the inauguration of the Cité de la mode et du design, as well as fashion shows, a video with Luc Besson for his future Cinema City, produced music for Mercedes Benz, and helped Bettina Rheims exhibit in Tokyo and Matali Crasset with the Bouroullecs, before they became star designers!
