ATELIERS C&S DAVOY

Mirror "Rue Montmartre"

This Collection has been inspired by a mirror found in an old 50’s hotel, in Montmarte Road. A flowered wallpaper had been slipped under the mosaÏc formed by the tiles, which, oxydised by time, let show, as if by magic, fragments of the wallpaper. Half-way between a mirror and an decorator’s piece, the image is incredibly mysterious!! The oxydation of the mirrors, handcrafted these days in our Workshops, make them look totally authentic.

GARDECO OBJECTS

Jord

ALL'ORIGINE

Antique headless busts of Bulgarian Zar and Zarina

Busts of Zarina Giovanna di Savoia and Zar Boris III of Bulgaria, who was poisoned by the Nazis in 1943 after a meeting with Hitler in which he refused to side against the Soviet Union. The busts were found a few years ago by the person who sold them to us in the attic of the public library in Ruse. Also known as "little Vienna", the city of Ruse is the fifth largest in Bulgaria. It is in the north east, on the right bank of the Danube.

LA MAISON DE COMMERCE

Lmdc candles

Worthy of the most beautiful churches, or movie sets, their flame is perfect: high, intense, regular, without smoke or flow. These taper candles are manufactured in the Alpilles, by the last French candle maker, following the ancestral technique of “diving”: placed in a “U” shape on wooden sticks fixed on frames, the wicks are dipped in wax several times by the master candle maker. It is from this gesture that comes their unique conical shape. Their ingredients: beeswax and mineral wax, pigments natural, cotton wick, time and precision.

FRANCESCA COLOMBO

Teste di Moro_Plates

The Teste di Moro series features a delicate and detailed design in soft, warm grey tones. Inspired by the ancient tradition of Sicilian Moorish heads, they are reinterpreted here in a sophisticated and contemporary way. Due to the use of manual techniques, each item varies slightly. Made in Italy.

Each piece is unique and handmade by the designer in her Parisian workshop.
