BACSAC® was founded in 2008 from the meeting of two landscape designers, Virgile Desurmont and Louis de Fleurieu, and designer Godefroy de Virieu. Their shared intuition was simple yet radical: to free plants from the constraints of rigid pots. Where architecture was not designed to support the weight of soil, plants, and traditional containers, they imagined a technical envelope — flexible, lightweight, and durable — a tool serving the living. From this convergence of practical insight and field expertise came the first BACSAC® container.
