ALEX BROKAMP is a furniture and lighting designer focused on bridging technical knowledge with a lighthearted simplicity to produce works that value materiality. Many of his products relate to workday functional objects that fade into the landscape.
ALEX BROKAMP's practice is always striving to further develop and foster his technical and conceptual skills within furniture, lighting, and objects by blending technology, spatial awareness, and craft with an emphasis on design innovation within our ever-changing societal landscape. His products are the result of experimenting with simple shapes that highlight interesting material and color compositions. Alex studied Industrial Design at the University of Cincinnati. He is currently pursuing his master's degree in Environmental Design (furniture & fixtures) at ArtCenter College of Design.
