Over 12 years ago, Image Republic knocked on Jean-Jacques Sempé’s door, making him the first artist to join our adventure. His work subtly blends humour, tenderness and a unique perspective on life. From La Baignade to Le Quatuor, from Pont Neuf to Paris, Quartier de Nuit, his drawings remain timeless. Co-creator of Le Petit Nicolas with René Goscinny and an illustrator for The New Yorker, Sempé remains one of France’s greatest illustrators.
