Isidore Leroy
It all began in 1842 when Isidore Leroy patented his "simultaneous multi-colour printing machine for drapery paper and a printing cylinder for paper and fabrics". It was then possible to print continuously on paper, a revolution. The factory experienced its first golden age during the Second Empire, when Leroy wallpapers were sought after throughout the world. It had a second heyday between the 1910s and 1930s.
