SHANE HOLLAND

Shane Holland, master craftsman of public, corporate, and gallery sculptural works and lighting pieces.

From my workshop, in Duleek I work closely with local recycling facilities to produce sculptural works from aviation and industrial sources. My pieces are also constructed from items, collected, foraged, and reclaimed that I have found at sea. I care deeply for the importance of tradition and heritage. I have a strong interest in history and it is often an inspiration in my artworks. My ethos is to try to create items of beauty and elegance which are built to last. I use a diverse palette of materials in my projects, always striving to find the correct choice for the job.
