French design made in Kenya

Founded by Lilo Chaumont and her daughter Justine in 2015, L'Équipée is a design studio based in Nairobi. The studio creates a range of original furniture, produced in close collaboration with 19 Kenyan artisans, exhibited and sold on both sides of the Equator. Each piece is unique, and produced from local, upcycled materials. The result: well thought-out objects, far from folkloric clichés. Lively, often funny, they are the pride of those who produce them, craftsmen and designers.
