BARBOTINE CISELET SCULPTURES
My work as a sculptor-ceramist is anchored in everyday life, as close as possible to humans. I seek to reveal the silent force of these moments when the truth is revealed without disguise.
Lucien, Kevin, Paul, Marie... my characters are not idealized. It’s their faces, their clumsy gestures, their sometimes fragile postures that interest me. It is there, in imperfection, that the soul, emotion and life are housed. Each sculpture thus becomes a fragment of existence: a sensitive, raw and vibrant imprint, an ode to our imperfect humanity.
