AURORE BOUTER

A master craftswoman specialising in flat glass, Aurore BOUTER creates hybrid works combining tradition and innovation. Her approach is an ode to what she calls "the luxurious slowness of plants".

Blending expertise and contemporary vision, technique and symbolism - her exploratory field of cementation combines heritage from the past with modern concepts. Her sensitive works straddle the boundary between the art piece and the everyday object, seeking to (re)give meaning to the object, to the human being. "Freeing herself from the boundaries between craft, art and design, she cements glass like a printer works lithographs, and thinks, like an interior designer, about the assembly of her floral and luminous "compositions-sculptures".
