ARTIST OBJECTS MADE OF VINTAGE RATTAN AND HAIR

The unusual encounter of the rattan and the hair gives birth to a unique collection of combed objects. Originally, it’s a selection of vintage rattan objects, favored for the originality of their shapes, convenient backbones to welcome the craft of the hair. Weaved, interlaced, braided, twisted, bristled, knotted, the hair patterns echo the lines of the rattan stalks . The works of Rattan Project are single pieces entirely hand made by Micki Chomicki, and were designed to preserve their functional use. Each possesses its own story and personality.
