CHARCOAL ESKIMEÏT is a brand of contemporary jewelry created by a Japanese-French couple of interior designers, Lorène and Hirohiko Kamiya, fully focused on the ancestral and traditional art of Japanese charcoal. The secret of its very slow combustion process transforms it in a hard and stable mineral that doesn’t fear water and becomes like a precious stone. Totally bypassing its traditional use, their creations take advantage of its deep black purity and beauty of its natural and so organic shapes. All their models are unique, designed, polished and crafted by hand in their studio.
