For over 20 years, AREA has been serving Japanese furniture and home furnishings customers looking for uncompromising, delicate and timeless design, a blend of tradition and modernity. AREA was founded in 2003 in Chigasaki, Japan. In 2006, its headquarters moved to Tokyo (Aoyama district). At the end of 2019, its first showroom outside Japan opens in Paris, France. 2024 will see the opening of a further boutique in New York, on Madison Avenue.
