ART NITKA
ART NITKA is a unique combination of art and math. Endless masterpieces made from thousands of lines of silky threads: Mona Lisa, Girl with the pearl earring, and many others paintings of old masters come to life in a new light through technology.
Ani Abakumova and her husband-mathematician Andrey Abakumov work together to create these intricate portraits made from thousands of lines of thread. In 2017 Andrey generated an algorithm that allows Ani to use threads in all possible colors, which overlap and overlay to form realistic representations of the endless masterpieces as the Mona Lisa, the Girl with the Pearl Earring, Salvador Mundi etc. To create a painting, she uses an average of 5-15 km of multicolored threads (depending on the dimensions of the work). Feel free to acquire the innovative form of the world museum's masterpieces.
