ART NITKA is a unique combination of art and math. Endless masterpieces made from thousands of lines of silky threads: Mona Lisa, Girl with the pearl earring, and many others paintings of old masters come to life in a new light through technology.
Ani Abakumova is the sole creator behind these intricate portraits made from thousands of lines of thread. Since 2017, she has developed a unique algorithm that allows her to use threads in all possible colors, which overlap and overlay to form realistic representations of timeless masterpieces like the Mona Lisa, the Girl with the Pearl Earring, and Salvador Mundi. Each painting she creates requires an impressive 5-15 km of multicolored threads, depending on the dimensions of the work.
