When Philippe Lebru revived Besançon, the slumbering watchmaking capital nestled in the heart of the Jura Arc, in 1993, it was to challenge and reinvent the codes of traditional horology, imagining and creating a new way to conceive and experience time. Clocks, watches, automata… UTINAM’s mechanical and kinetic works of art offer a perception of time that transcends mere measurement: an autonomous, independent time, free to repeat itself endlessly.
