YOUNG KIM

Young Kim is textile artist based in Korea. She continuously explores components and traditional materials of hanbok, traditional Korean clothing, creating various artworks and crafts that introduce and celebrate the beauty of Korean tradition.

Young Kim has been learning traditional Korean craft of needlework, known as 'Chimseon' from important Korean cultural heritage a holder since 2015. Inspired by the craftsmanship and hanbok forms encountered in this process, she creates unique textile artworks. She has recently expanded range of works into furniture collaboration projects based on her artistic creations. In addition, under the brand Yosojae, she introduces handmade products Badae bags and pouches. At this Maison&Objet, she will showcase her signature Badae bags and other artworks.
