We refresh, re-mix and curate graphic gold brought back from visual voyages into rare books. We wish to explore every subject ever drawn, engraved and printed. By organising them in a new structure we create our personal graphic encyclopedia.

The Dybdahl Co. has been on a heritage adventure since 2014, exploring visual gold hidden in rare books and stored in libraries, museums and archives. Curated context, classification and navigation in a massive world of images has become an exciting challenge for us and inspired by the great encyclopedists we are introducing the first volume of our personal graphic encyclopaedia. We create an exponential compendium of images, by mapping the visual world as illustrated in pre-digital times, and arranging our findings in thematic categories, in an accessible and systematic method.
