The Baba Tree Basket Company has been preserving the culture of baskets and the Gurunsi community in Bolgatanga, Ghana for over 20 years.

Our 200+ artisans practice a time-honoured signature weaving technique, where each basket is unique & purposeful. Inspired by the wisdom of Mother Nature, we recognise the sacred bond that unites us with the Earth and our responsibility for the future of the Baba Tree community and, in turn, for all humanity. Our emphasis on social impact connects design practices with land stewardship. Our work and purpose are rooted in fair wages and safe working conditions for artisans, together with regenerative farming that supports biodiversity and community well-being.
