Sophie Autard creates jewelry-sculptures that combine traditional techniques, engraving, and fine mechanics. Her unique pieces, animated by hidden mechanisms and mobile elements, bring matter to life and invite contemplation. Metal sometimes enters into dialogue with other materials. At the heart of her work, hand engraving animates the surfaces and captures the light. Her research explores the presence of jewelry beyond the body: objects of memory and narrative, her creations, fragments of poetry, are worn, discovered, and reveal a world imbued with sensitivity.
