A ceramic artist and fine craftsperson, Caroline de La Porte creates works with sculptural, organic forms whose evocative names — Éclosions, Allégria, Golden Light — celebrate living matter and the bond that connects humankind to nature.*

Signed clp céramique, the sculptures, vases, dishes, and other objects are unique pieces conceived and handcrafted by Caroline de La Porte in her Paris studio, most often using a sculptural process in chamotte stoneware. The raw clay is generally only partially glazed — a way of maintaining a tactile connection with the original earth while playing with contrasts: between matte and gloss, between the grain of a creamy stoneware, the softness of a pure porcelain slip poured inside a vase, or the irregular textures of gold leaf applied at random to a sculpture.
