Ariane van Dievoet has made material reuse the focus of her design work.
Ariane van Dievoet has made material reuse the focus of her design work. She explores the role that technology and digital tools can play in repurposing materials. The designer creates furniture and objects from mirrors and stones sourced from demolition sites or discarded items. She collects, transforms and combines them with wood offcuts or locally grown wood. Originally from Belgium, Ariane began her career in Brooklyn, where she founded her design studio in 2014. In 2018, she returned to Brussels and specialised in sustainable design and digital tools.

Belgium is Design is a project that promotes Belgian design internationally. For Maison&Objet, the collective stand organised in the Decor&Design section brings together a selection of 10 brands: creations using a variety of materials and techniques, driven by unique approaches, but united by the same ambition – to offer innovative and sustainable design.
