John Mac × Akira Nishihara Porcelain forms thrown by master ceramicist Akira Nishihara in Arita, Japan, then saggar-fired in France by John Mac. Sealed in the kiln with wood, copper, flowers and oxides, each piece is marked by smoke and vaporised metal in ways that cannot be repeated or predicted. Named after 守破離 — Shu Ha Ri — the Japanese path of mastery through preservation, breaking and departure.
