Echoes of Fire
The original saggar-fired collection, made in the artist's studio in the French Gâtinais. Each piece is sealed in a container packed with dried grasses and flowers, wood chips, pine cones, seaweed, fruit peel and metal oxides — most of them gathered from the garden. Inside, smoke, flame and vaporised minerals leave traces the maker cannot direct or repeat. Interiors are glazed for everyday use; exteriors keep only what the fire left.
