Studio Mauj: objects inspired by archaeology.

Studio Mauj is a handcrafted ceramics studio founded in La Garenne-Colombes. Mauj is short for "mise au jour" : in archaeology, to unearth an object is to bring it out of the ground, to reveal it. This is the gesture behind every stoneware piece, shaped by hand, sometimes raw, sometimes glazed or textured, somewhere between a functional object and a sculpture.
