MYCEODESIGN
Cultivated objects at the crossroads of art, design, and biology.
MYCEODESIGN is a research and creative studio exploring the potential of mycelium as a design material. Through objects, lighting pieces, and furniture cultivated from living matter, MYCEODESIGN develops a new approach to creation where architecture, craftsmanship, and biology converge. Each piece is unique, shaped by a growth process that reveals an organic, sustainable, and deeply contemporary aesthetic. Cultivating rather than producing.

MYCEODESIGN is a French creative studio specializing in mycelium-based design and innovative biomaterials. Founded by architect Gianni Modolo, the studio develops lighting, decorative objects, contemporary furniture, and material prototypes derived from the growth of mycelium.
At the crossroads of architecture, design, and biology, MYCEODESIGN explores the possibilities offered by living materials to imagine a new generation of eco-friendly objects with a low environmental impact. Each creation is produced through a controlled cultivation process that allows mycelium to grow on natural structures or substrates, resulting in unique organic textures.
The studio also conducts research into the development of bio-based materials intended to replace conventional ones, particularly in the fields of furniture design, interior architecture, sustainable decoration, and alternatives to animal leather.
MYCEODESIGN is aimed at architects, interior designers, design galleries, hotels, specifiers, and collectors seeking innovative solutions that combine craftsmanship, biological technology, and sustainable design.
