VETRERIE DI EMPOLI will be present at the PARIS SALON MAISON ET OBJETS, from 17 to 21/01/2020 Hall 8, Signature stand B16, with two visually striking "mises en place": the glasses and objects of the new collection will be displayed alongside the Raynaud and Rosenthal porcelains and Ercuis and Sambonet silverware. -

VETRERIE DI EMPOLI presents a new version of the "GIRA E RIGIRA" wineglass, embellished by a splendid SWAROVSKI CRYSTAL conceived and realized specifically for this project. "Gira e Rigira" has enjoyed great international success and was selected by ADI as one of the innovative designs to run for the 2020 “Compasso d’Oro (Golden Compass)” competition. -

The permanent ADI Design Observatory decided to include the glass in its 2018 ADI Design Index. "It’s a simple idea”, says Franco Parentini, “stemming from the familiarity of Europeans with the rituals connected with drinking, that are not common knowledge elsewhere: it lets you decant the wine naturally, while conversing with your fellow diners, without embarrassment or feeling of awkwardness"
