Salvadorean artisanal designer, LULA MENA, designs and develops sustainable fashion accessories created with traditional techniques, handcrafted by woman who live in rural areas of El Salvador, all under rules of Fairtrade and eco-friendly processes.
LULA´s focus is to empower women in at-risk areas by providing them with steady Jobs.
LULA designs products with the materials that communities have around. She trains them how to produce her designs with those materials. When there are no raw materials available, LULA uses waste materials. All my designs are based on 5 principles: Handmade, Eco-friendly, Women Empowerment, Fairtrade and Innovation.
LULA provides jobs for more than 70 people, between fixed and eventually.
