The item is hand-woven by craftsmen of the Tai Leu ethnic group, from northern Laos, who are expert cotton weavers who grow, spin and dye their organic cotton using local plant dyes. The craftsmen of Tai Leu are qualified in additional weaving. They also use a wide range of dyes to create a large palate of colors, while Phou Tai mainly uses indigo dyes to create a diverse color.
