This product is not available anymore
Product description
“Beautiful weave more commonly known as “Arkilla Jenngo”, usually intended for aristocratic Tuareg. This antique wedding textile was used as a very prestigious wall hanging at high society weddings. In the past, it was used to surround and hide the bridal bed. Hand-woven on the same principle as the Bogolan, the wall hanging is made on a narrow loom and sewn on a selvedge edge. The warp is made of cotton and the weft is in wool. Each wall hanging was made by the Fulani people for the Tuareg people of Mali.
