This product is not available on MOM anymore.
Product description
Chabako is a Japanese handcrafted wooden box with 100 years of history. Covered with a highly artistic Nishijin-Ori weaving of Kyoto, typically used for Obi (Kimono sash) by Hashimoto Orimono, a long-established Nishijin weaver who has won various awards. The design depicts one of the major festivals in Kyoto. This is a valuable item as highly skilled weavers required to produce this traditional and intricate weaving technique are disappearing one after another. With art on the back of the lid. 100% silk. Usage: Display base and Storage Box of Tea set, Sake Set, and other decorative items. More Caskets and boxes
