Product description
Founded in Tokyo in 1889, Ryukobo specializes in Kumihimo, the Japanese traditional braiding technique. Mainly used to make obijime cords, an essential accessory in the kimono outfit. Ryukobo has supplied elegant obijime to the Imperial Family, Kabuki actors, or tea ceremony master throughout its existence. In recent years, they have collaborated with artists and designers to create outstanding objects. Besides Fashion industry, Ryukobo has been exploring interior decoration possibilities with architects. They worked with French luxury brands, for store and façade decoration.
