Urania is a jewel. The piece is both beautiful and irresistible. A small Renaissance-style compendium with a folding gnomon sundial, mounted on a compass. Here's the story: 2009 was the year of astronomy, and we wanted to recognize the silent work of women in science. This piece of jewelry is our tribute to pioneer female astronomers. Urania Propitia (1650), the title of Maria Cunitz's work, was transformed, thanks to her excellent scientific achievements, into her nickname: “the closest to the muse of astronomy".
