Product description

In 1907, Picasso presented the work that is considered the precursor of the Cubist movement, “Le Demoiselles D’Avignon”. It paved the way for the presence of two dimensions and many styles within a single canvas. The composition of the piece refers to the decomposition of the female bodies in the painting, where figures are represented by broken volumes, sharp angles and dissonant geometries. The palette refers to the chromatic climate of thework: sensual, ancestral and at the same time modern. The piece assumes an totemic posture, suggesting corporal presence and architectural structure.
