The Raw Edge Bench addresses local marble industry sustainability by reintegrating the underutilized green serpentine into interior design. Once popular for upscale residential flooring in eastern Taiwan, this locally sourced stone has seen a decline in use as imported materials have become more common. Upon visiting a manufacturing facility, we identified the potential in repurposing discarded pieces from slab cutting and developed an energy-efficient to do so. The bench highlights the natural beauty of green serpentine through a precisely executed 45° beveled edge.Product specifications
