Emily is a series of lampshades designed to be suspended in relation to one another, forming a floating landscape of light. Installation height and colour composition shift its character and redraw the perception of the room. Each shade passes through skilled hands: cutting, bending, forming, welding and manual sanding. A refined artisanal process that lends Emily its natural, organic geometry. The series draws on the "James Bond Islands" series by Andreas Gursky, where digitally arranged landforms appear to hover above a flat horizon line, luminous geometry.
