Emily is a family of lampshades that layer freely above one another to build a suspended landscape of light. Its character shifts with the suspension height and the pairing of tones, which redefine how the room is read. Each shade is worked by skilled hands: cut, folded, shaped, welded, and sanded manually. A refined artisanal process that lends Emily its natural, organic geometry. The series draws on Andreas Gursky's James Bond Islands, where digitally arranged landforms appear to float above a flat horizon, a distinctive design.
