Designed in 1968, the Gyrofocus was the world’s first suspended steel fireplace with a hearth that rotates 360°. Its disruptive organic shape broke with convention and made it an icon in international design. It has been converted to gas – with a technological world-first that supplies gas through the flue – then a closed glass-fronted wood-burning version with excellent energy and environmental performance, and finally as an electric and a bioethanol fire.
