In 2000, star architect Norman Foster commissioned Focus to create a custom-designed fireplace for the reception area of a head office of a major company in London. This led to the creation of the Filiofocus with its telescopic hood, followed by two scaled-down versions. Today there are wood-burning, gas and bioethanol versions.
