Sarah Mari Shaboyan is an illustrator and graphic designer of Armenian origin. Originally from Yerevan, she now lives in Italy. She graduated in graphic arts from the Yerevan Academy of Fine Arts and then obtained a degree in illustration from the British Higher School of Art and Design in Moscow. Her artistic language is based on pencil, lines, and shadows; she considers graphic design to be “a means of communication and a way of perceiving the world.” Urban patterns, architectural interiors, and scenes of urban daily life often appear.
