This pair of candlesticks embodies the spirit of the Fragments collection: revealing the beauty of the past through a contemporary creation. These two elements from an old sideboard, formerly intended to support its upper part, are now finding a new function. Destined to disappear with the piece of furniture, these fragments have been preserved for their form and history.A simple and sensitive reinterpretation, where know-how allows an ancient element to regain its place in our interiors.This project was born at the Ateliers Iholdy, in the Basque Country, a place that brings together artisans passionate about the material and the know-how. It is in this environment that this collaboration between the wood turner and the cabinetmaker, using their skills to present this new project.Fragments, an ethical approach around the material, the transmission and the preservation of heritage.
