This illustration inspired by Japanese culture shows a cat leaving a restaurant under the snow. He is wearing a rice straw coat called Mino which was widely used in the countryside to protect himself from the weather. In the background, we can see part of the noren (ねずみ) of the restaurant on which we see a fish as well as the first characters of the word nezumi () which means mouse/rat. We can therefore deduce that the restaurant serves fish and is run by a mouse.
