A round pendant in ancient bog oak from deposits radiocarbon-dated to around 7,500 years, combined with marbled amber-toned jewellery resin and natural amber. The oak's deep black is entirely natural: it formed without any dye, through long contact between the wood, water and minerals. Amber is the fossilised resin of ancient forests, around 40 million years old. The marbled pattern of the resin settles freely, so every piece looks different. The circle draws the eye to the centre of the composition, so the material takes the lead. About 40 mm across — clearly visible, yet comfortable to wear. A high-gloss finish emphasises the depth of the materials.
