Decorative statue depicting a Buddha seated in the lotus position, in a calm, serene meditation pose. Unlike the previous model, both hands rest one on top of the other in front of the abdomen, palms facing upward, in the traditional Dhyana Mudra position, a gesture associated with meditation, concentration and inner balance. A lotus flower is depicted in the centre of the hands. The statue retains the same carefully worked headdress topped with a flame-shaped ornament, as well as a richly detailed robe. Its patinated golden finish highlights the many raised details of the clothing and headdress.
