With Calices, Brigitte Thomy interprets the flowerthrough ceramics, seeking to capture its fragilityand ephemeral nature. The clay is refined to anextreme thinness, almost like a petal, thenlayered in delicate strata held in a constantlyprecarious balance. The silky surfaces invite touch. The forms unfold through successive twists and folds, like a flower in transformation, while the calyx evokes the promise of new life. / Unique piece, signed / Artist: Brigitte Thomy / Materials: ceramics / Size varies depending on piece, for reference: H20x30x30cm /
