Once used in Western Ukraine to bless marriages and decorate Christmas tables, it now returns in a modern, minimalist form. Handmade from black smoky ceramics, each piece is crafted using the rare Gavarechchyna technique, an ancient pottery method preserved by only a few artisans in Western Ukraine. Fired in a wood-burning oven, the clay turns deep black through natural smoke oxidation. This limited collection by designer Danuta Kril blends heritage, symbolism, and modern design, creating a striking, timeless decor object for contemporary interiors.
