Handcrafted in our Tokyo workshop, this traditional Japanese shikifuton is made with GOTS-certified organic cotton in both the outer fabric and filling. Our craftspeople layer, shape, stitch, and tuft the cotton by hand. Soft when new, the futon gradually settles into a firmer, supportive sleeping surface. Designed for use on tatami, a breathable floor mat, or a well-ventilated bed base. The fabric is unbleached natural beige, and no flame retardants or adhesives are used. Available in sizes from Single to Queen, with custom sizes available on request.
